This facility is located in Bolton and provides specialist accommodation for four adults with autism as part of the Local Authority’s wider strategy to help relocate adults living in secure and nonsecure facilities back to the town.

The scheme is designed to sit harmoniously within the wider Great Places General Needs development and the specification was designed in conjunction with Bolton Adult Social Care.

The scheme includes:

• 3 bedsits with en-suite facilities in a shared house for people who need high levels of support
• 1 self contained flat adjacent to and accessible from the shared house for an adult who can live more independently
• Communal facilities including three lounges allowing residents to choose whether they interact with neighbours
• U-shaped floorplan providing a secluded, private garden space
• Autism friendly design with seamless flooring, high ceilings, underfloor heating and a minimalist environment to allow colleagues to manage stimulus
