Great Places landed the Best Retrofit Initiative at the Housing Executive Awards for our work on the Richmond Park heat network.
Delivered with FairHeat and HNES, the project is helping residents across 299 homes benefit from lower energy costs and a more efficient, reliable heating and hot water service.
The results speak for themselves: average household energy costs are down by around 50%, with heat loss reduced by 40%, gas use by 23% and electricity consumption by 64%.
The work was carefully delivered while residents remained in their homes, minimising disruption and giving customers greater visibility of their energy use.
Andy Bonnington, Director of Property, said: “We are delighted to have won the Best Retrofit Initiative at the Housing Executive’s award for our work at Richmond Park.
“The project was a huge undertaking for the team and our partners, Fairheat and HNES, but together, and with the all-important support from customers, we have created a heat network that is delivering huge benefits to residents and puts us in a strong position to deliver the requirements of OFGEM regulation.
“Well done to everyone involved in the project.”
A brilliant example of collaboration delivering lower bills, better services and a more sustainable future.
