Energy-Saving Wins You Can Grab This September
From 1 October 2025, the energy price cap will rise by 2%. This means the average dual-fuel household paying by direct debit will see their annual bill go up to £1,755. The increase is around £2.93/month, but it comes at a time when many households are already stretched — and where every penny counts.
Customers can still take advantage of switching to fixed-rate energy deals that are available that could save you up to £250 a year compared to the new price cap.
If you haven’t already, it’s worth shopping around and switching before October to lock in a better rate. Also, don’t forget to submit a meter reading before the price cap changes — this can help avoid paying more due to estimated bills.
