We’re improving how we let you know about important safety checks and servicing in your home or building.
These checks help us keep you safe. We want to make sure you know what’s happening, why it matters and when to expect us.
What’s changing?
You’ll start to receive clearer and more timely updates about work that needs to take place in your home or in shared areas.
This includes things like:
- asbestos surveys or removals
- electrical checks and servicing
- fire safety checks in communal areas
- gas servicing
- lift inspections water hygiene checks
These changes won’t happen straight away, but you should start receiving messages over the next few months.
When we’ll contact you
We’ll send you messages at different stages, so you know what to expect and have time to prepare.
Depending on the work, this may include:
- an early message to let you know work is coming up
- a reminder closer to your appointment
- a short survey afterwards so you can share your feedback
For some types of work, we may contact you earlier than before so you have more notice.
If we need access to your home, we’ll explain what we need you to do and when.
What this means for you
These changes are designed to make things clearer and easier for you.
You’ll:
- know when work is planned in your home or building
- understand why the checks are important
- have the chance to tell us about your experience
