Great Places Housing Group is working with Sheffield Housing Company, Sheffield City Council, and Keepmoat to deliver a major regeneration initiative in Sheffield that will see the delivery of 98 new affordable homes across three sites in the Manor area.

The developments will provide a mix of homes for affordable rent and shared ownership, helping to meet the growing demand for quality, accessible housing in the city.

The first phase of the project is already underway, with Great Places acquiring 11 homes at the Pennine Village development.

In addition, Sheffield City Council is purchasing 47 homes at Corker Bottoms, just off Harborough Road, comprising a selection of two, three and four bedroomed properties; and at Eclipse (phases 12 and 13, just off Harborough Avenue), a further 40 two, three and four bedroomed homes will be created.

These homes are part of a wider programme aiming to deliver 2,300 mixed tenure properties by mid-2026, supported by funding from Homes England and the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.

Simon Robinson, Director of Neighbourhoods at Great Places, said:

We’re proud to be part of this transformative partnership that’s delivering high-quality, affordable homes in the Manor area.

Pennine Village reflects our commitment to creating thriving sustainable communities where people feel proud to live.

These new homes not only provide much-needed housing options but also contribute to the long-term regeneration of the area, supporting local people and strengthening neighbourhoods.

The initiative is a key part of Sheffield’s broader regeneration strategy, aiming to revitalise neighbourhoods, improve housing choice, and support inclusive growth across the city.
