Great Places has backed the Burnley FC in the Community ‘Health Hub’.
The Health Hub brings together a range of Burnley FC in the Community’s health and wellbeing programmes, all delivered from the Leisure Box, on Glen Way in Brierfield.
These initiatives provide vital support to individuals living with cancer, Parkinson’s, and cardiac conditions, as well as offering sessions aimed to at tackling loneliness and dedicated women-only activities.
By delivering accessible and inclusive services, the Health Hub plays a vital role in improving both physical and mental wellbeing across Burnley and the surrounding area.
Great Places’ support will help continue delivering vital services to those who need them most and highlights the important role businesses can play in strengthening our local communities.
Community Partnership Manager Aateeka Bashir said: “We have a strong partnership with Burnley FC in the Community and we are delighted to be supporting them in this project.
“The BFCitC Health Hub will deliver much-needed support services to wards that require additional help to tackle health inequalities and social isolation during the cost-of-living crisis.”
