Rents are changing from April 2023 and for most of our customers will go up by 7%. Our priority is to ensure our rents are affordable and provide value for money at a time when our costs are going up significantly more than the 7% increase in our rents.

Here are 5 things you may not know about what your rent pays for:

  1. This year we’ll be increasing what we spend on repairing and investing in our homes to over £40m.
  2. To help reduce the cost of your bills we will be improving energy efficiency where possible for our worst performing homes.
  3. To help prevent issues caused by condensation we will be improving ventilation in our homes. Visit our Damp, mould and condensation page on our website.
  4. We will be replacing old kitchens and bathrooms and carrying out minor and major repairs.
  5. We are investing more on support services to help our customers cope with the cost of living crisis.

Look out for your rent letter

You’ll get your rent letter in late February telling you exactly how much you will pay along with any increase to your service charge if you pay one. See answers to questions here.

Worried about paying your charges?

We do care. If you’re struggling to pay your rent, remember you can reach out to us. Get in touch with your Neighbourhood Services Manager or Independence and Wellbeing Coordinator. Try our managing your money section to find more help.
