Last week, Great Places organised a successful community clean-up day at the Northmoor Community Association in Longsight. Partnering with Manchester City Council and Keep Britain Tidy, the event focused on addressing environmental issues and engaging residents in improving their neighbourhood.
Volunteers worked diligently to collect 21 bags of litter, making a significant impact on the cleanliness of the area. Rachel Self, Neighbourhood Services Manager at Great Places, shared, “We were pleased to see the community come together, and we had valuable conversations with residents about their environmental concerns.”
Rachel has been supporting Manchester City Council in addressing broader environmental issues in Northmoor, including conducting a door-to-door survey to gather resident feedback. Great Places remains committed to working with the council to tackle these challenges and improve living conditions in the area.
