Tina is an active participant of Wybourn Works. Whilst this is known to be our thriving employability programme, many of our participants like Tina have engaged in it for other areas of support. As part of the programme, our Money Matters Team are on hand to provide advice and support around finances, and Tina is just one of many Wybourn residents who have really felt the difference thanks to this offer.

Tina came to the Pat Midgley Community Hub – the heart of Wybourn Works – requesting support with filling out a PIP form. She had previously been unsuccessful with her PIP applications and needed some advice. During her one-to-one session with our specialist, Tina also shared that she had multiple priority and non-priority debts.

Our Money Matters specialist discussed Tina’s debt options and referred Tina to a debt advice hub based in Sheffield St Mary’s Church. They also supported Tina to complete her PIP form and were delighted to see that it was successful! Tina was awarded £3,796 in PIP for 2025, which also included backdated payment.

To support Tina with her debt, she was put in the direction of a debt advisor, who worked with Tina to apply for a Debt Relief Order.

Following her Debt Relief Order, our Money Matters Team continued to support Tina by helping her to improve her budgeting skills.
