Insight customer scrutiny group has just finished their review looking at how communal space in and around neighbourhoods and blocks of flats are managed to ensure these are places people wish to live. What Insight heard from customers is that it is important these spaces are maintained, kept clean, safe, and free from hazards or fly-tipping and that spaces are seen as extensions of people’s homes.

The group is now busy getting ready to present their findings and improvement recommendations to Great Places Board in May, which will help support delivery of better services for customers.

The next scrutiny review will look at empty properties and experiences of customers. If you’ve recently had an offer of accommodation from Great Places or you’ve moved into a home then Insight would love to hear from you. Get involved by emailing customerscrutiny@greatplaces.org.uk.

The group scrutinise services delivered to customers to examine whether customers are satisfied or dissatisfied and to identify reasons to suggest improvements to Great Places. If you are interested in helping to review services or you have experiences that may help inform a future scrutiny, please email customerscrutiny@greatplaces.org.uk or contact Tracy Gregory, scrutiny co-ordinator.

Further information about customer scrutiny can be found on Great Places website.
