Tony Davison


Tony is a highly experienced businessman. Former Managing Director at company Bostik, he served as a local councillor, Chair of Governors of a College of Further Education, a Governor of Manchester Metropolitan University and is currently Chairman of Nantwich Town Football Club. Tony is also a member of the Remuneration & Appraisal Committee at Great Places.


Jenny Rayner

Deputy Chair, Chair of Remuneration & Appraisal Committee

Jenny has for 17 years been an independent consultant and trainer on corporate governance, internal audit and risk management. She formerly enjoyed a 21-year career with ICI and Zeneca in a variety of commercial management roles and as a chief internal auditor. Jenny has been a board member in the social housing sector for over 10 years. 


Jerry Green

Chair of Audit & Assurance Committee

Jerry uses his 20 years' experience running a commercial property investment company to act as an advisor to a number of funders investing in the sector. A member of the leadership board at Manchester Business School and a Trustee of Macclesfield Academy, he has held high-profile roles at Yates Group and Gradus Group Ltd.


Brendan Nevin

member of the Audit & Assurance Committee

Brendan has spent more than 30 years working in the housing and regeneration sector. He played a lead role in developing the Housing Market Renewal (HMR) urban renewal programme and his research and policy work is regularly published.


Celia Cashman

member of the Audit & Assurance Committee

Celia is a retired housing professional who has spent almost 40 years working in a wide variety of housing and regeneration environments across the country. Her career history includes housing services director posts in a number of large housing associations, most recently at Yorkshire Housing, together with several years as a housing consultant.


Jan Fitzgerald

member of the Remuneration & Appraisal Committee

Jan draws on 30 years of experience working in housing and regeneration. She held several senior management positions at Sheffield City Council, including director of community services. Her high-profile work has seen her play a leading role in the regeneration of the city's Park Hill and Norfolk Park.


David Robinson

Chair of Cube Great Places Limited

David is the Chair of Cube and a member of the Remuneration & Appraisal Committee. He is the Chairman and former MD of specialist retailer Richer Sounds, Managing Director of a privately-owned property development and investment company and a Trustee of United Learning, one of the country’s largest Multi Academy Trusts.


Matthew Harrison

CEO and Executive Board Member

Matthew joined Great Places in 1993 and led the growth of the organisation through award-winning development before being appointed Chief Executive in April 2013. He has vast experience in development and urban regeneration and has led on many iconic developments. He has also held voluntary positions and is a Board Member of a Local Strategic Partnership.


Babar Ahmad

Cube Great Places Limited

Babar is a Chartered Surveyor with vast experience of acquiring residential and commercial land. He has excellent knowledge of land markets and the town planning system and has delivered large regeneration projects including the only Legacy facility built outside of London for the 2012 Olympic Games.


Samantha Young

member of the Audit & Assurance Committee

Sam has over 20 years experience of working in the public and private sectors at senior management / director level. She is an IT professional who has led major IT projects. Sam is an experienced non executive director and currently sits on the Board of a company in the educational and technology sector. Sam is a member of the Audit and Assurance Committee.
