If you receive Universal Credit, you will need to update your online journal with your new rent after 5 April 2021– please do this only after you receive a prompt from DWP. If you do this before this date then you will need to resubmit it again.
Rents will generally go up by 1.5% from April 2021. By now you will have received your rent letter telling you about your new rent amount.
