Great Places, working with our building safety partner Holistic Fire Safety, has recently donated a life-saving defibrillator to Radcliffe FC, a local football club dedicated to serving the community as part of the fire safety contractor’s social value commitments.
The defibrillator donated to Radcliffe FC will be used to provide immediate medical assistance in the event of a cardiac emergency. Having a defibrillator on-site at Radcliffe FC will ensure that players, staff, and spectators have access to this vital equipment, enhancing the overall safety and well-being of everyone involved with the club.
Eddie Parry from our Building Safety Team was actively involved in the project and is also actively involved in charity work in raising awareness of the importance of this life saving equipment and recently took part in a charity bike ride from Cleethorpes to Hoylake to raise funds for a range of local charities including heart charities. Eddie’s dedication to fundraising is personal, having lost his son to a sudden cardiac arrest in 2017 due to Brugada Syndrome, a rare condition causing sudden death.
Commenting on the project, Will Davidson, Managing Director of Holistic Fire Safety, said:
“We’re delighted to support one of our key partners in providing a defibrillator to Radcliffe FC. Great Places provide fantastic community initiatives, and when the opportunity arose to provide a piece of life-saving equipment to Lee and Radcliffe FC, it was a project we really wanted to be involved in. Special thanks to our good friend at Great Places, Eddie Parry, for inviting us to get involved. We wish Lee and Radcliffe FC future success for the fantastic work they do for the local community.”
Eddie Parry, Contract Delivery Officer from Great Places Building Safety Team, added:
“We are incredibly proud to support Radcliffe FC with this defibrillator. It’s a vital piece of equipment that can make a real difference in emergencies. Our commitment to the community is at the heart of everything we do, and we are grateful to Holistic Fire Safety for their partnership in this important initiative.”
