Councillor Viv Willder, Vice-Chairman of the Environment, Health and Housing Committee joined Great Places Housing Group at the official launch of Church Road, a new development offering much needed affordable homes in St Annes.
Aided by funding from Fylde Council, the scheme offers 10 affordable rental properties made up of six one bedroom flats, two two-bed and two three-bed houses. The scheme was built on land purchased from Church Road Methodist Church, which helped fund improvements to the church and the development of a new, purpose built community centre.
The councillor joined Helen Spencer, Great Places’ Director of Development to take a tour of the completed development and the properties on offer.
Commenting on the launch of Church Road, Councillor Willder, said: “It is fantastic to see another development of this kind completed in Fylde. We hope the families who move into the properties will be very happy in their new homes, and look forward to helping more of these schemes take place in the future.”
Councillor Ben Aitken, Chairman of the Environment, Health and Housing Committee added “I am particularly pleased with this development I look forward to even more such schemes.”
Helen Spencer added: “We were delighted to show Councillor Wilder around Church Lane. This is a first class development offering much needed affordable homes in St Annes.
“Great Places development team prides itself on working with a wide range of partners such as Fylde Council to create great affordable homes that address local needs and create great communities. We’re happy that Church Road will do just that.”
