Plumlife have marked the end of another successful financial year crowned by scooping a top industry award. The flagship development at Arkwright Place in Gorton fought off stiff competition to win the much coveted Best Large Development category at this year’s prestigious First Time Buyers Readers Awards in London.
The award recognises the success of the mixed-tenure development of 131 homes close to Manchester city centre in creating an affordable, desirable and aspirational environment alongside additional facilities to benefit the local community and surrounding neighbourhoods. Launched off plan in May last year, the development saw record levels of demand and reservation rates from the outset.
The award win was also timely industry recognition at the end of what has been another successful year for Plumlife. The team secured an impressive 374 property transactions in the past twelve months. This included 193 new home sales along with76 shared ownership staircasing completions.
Alongside the success of Arkwright Place, other stand-out successes for Plumlife included high demand shared ownership schemes at Croftwood Gardens in Salford, Hesketh Place in Wigan, Waterways in Macclesfield and Wren Green in Bamber Bridge.
Plumlife has also continued to make steady progress in using its industry expertise to develop its property marketing service offering for other developers. In the past year it successfully secured contracts to offer sales and marketing services to various clients with others in the pipeline for later in the year.
Helen Spencer, Director of Development at Great Places Housing Group, said:
“The award was a great way to end what has been a strong year for Plumlife Homes. It recognises the key role we play in creating and selling high quality homes and supporting first time buyers looking to take those exciting first steps on the property ladder. It also recognises the hard work of the team in continuing to record strong sales and using our expertise to develop our sales and marketing services for other developers.”
