Great Places kicks off contract with Liberty Group

Great Places has just kicked off a new three-year contract with Liberty Group, who will now work with us to supply gas installation, servicing and maintenance to over 12,000 of our homes across Blackburn, Fylde, Manchester, Oldham and Rochdale, Salford and Sheffield.

A TUPE transfer of 24 colleagues from Proline Group to Liberty has taken place to support the smooth delivery of the contract. There’s no change for customers when it comes to contacting us to request gas repairs and maintenance appointments – simply log on to www.greatplaces.org.uk or call 0300 123 1966. Then look out for the Liberty vans, uniform and identity cards as they carry out their work.

Matthew Harrison, Chief Executive at Great Places, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Liberty and know they will do a great job delivering gas services and maintenance work at Great Places properties. Delivering excellent customer service is our top priority and the TUPE transfer means that people in our homes can expect a continued efficient service from familiar colleagues after contacting us in the usual ways.”

Derek Corbishley, Managing Director of Liberty, said: “This is the start of our three-year partnership with Great Places. The TUPE transfer of staff has been a great success and the team have hit the ground running as we begin delivering first-class gas installation, servicing and maintenance to over 12,000 of the landlord’s properties.”

Great Places homes offering supported living accommodation at Fielder Lodge in Manchester were the first properties Liberty has provided services to through the new contract, and residents there were presented with flowers and a voucher to mark the occasion.

Senior Support Worker Johanna Durbin at Fielder Lodge (pictured) said: “Thank you for the excellent service shown by the engineer. We will display the flowers in the communal kitchen at Fielder Lodge and use the Amazon voucher to buy something decorative for the communal lounge".
