Following an In Depth Analysis (IDA) Great Places Housing Group has had its top rating from the Regulator of Social Housing re-confirmed.
The Regulator looks at the work of housing associations in England to make sure they are governed properly and that they are financially viable.
The Regulator judges a housing provider’s viability and governance, including its approach to value for money.
Analysis involves on-site work and considers in detail a provider’s ability to meet its financial obligations and the effectiveness of its governance structures and processes.
Housing associations are rated on a sliding scale from 1 to 4 with G1 and V1 being the top ratings.
Chief Executive Matthew Harrison said: “It is great news that we have received continued G1 and V1 ratings.
“This vote of confidence in what we are creating at Great Places will support the ambitions we have as a business, which include building 8,000 homes across the Greater Manchester and the North over the next 10 years.
“It is also testament to the hard work of all our colleagues and our Board, and the commitment the business has to building great homes and great communities for all our customers”.
