Great Places Housing Group has evicted a grandfather and grandmother from their home after they allowed drugs and a Taser gun to be stashed at the property.

Tenants in Blackpool who’ve been feeling the cold have seen their homes get warmer and their energy bills plummet by hundreds of pounds thanks to work by Great Places Housing Group.

Great Places resident Margaret Timpson thought it was a joke when she got a letter from the Queen. But the envelope from Buckingham Palace was real and Margaret had been nominated to receive an MBE in recognition of her voluntary service.
