
Supported housing
Great Places Housing Group provides 1,500 supported housing units for vulnerable people including teenage parents and people with drug or alcohol problems, or mental health issues.
Projects tend to be made up of self-contained flats around a central courtyard, with communal spaces for socialising, meetings and training sessions.
All residents get one-to-one support on matters such as accessing jobs and education or health services, and learn life skills – such as cooking and budgeting - that will lead to them maintaining successful, independent tenancies when they move on. People usually live in our supported schemes for a year or two.
