Strong, bright and ... green!

At Great Places Housing Group, we know every decision we make has an effect on the environment and we're working hard to be as green as we can be.

In the last year we've added an environmental officer to our ranks. She's called Sarah McClelland and she's pictured on the right. It's part of Sarah's job to encourage employees and residents to live greener lifestyles.

We have an environmental policy - have a look at it here - that's our statement on how we will reduce our environmental impact.

We also have an environmental strategy - here - that sets out stringent targets that we're aiming to meet.

Work we're carrying out is wide-ranging, from working with other organisations to better insulate our residents' homes, to holding awareness sessions on all sorts of matters for employees. It's all aimed at making it as easy as possible for the people who live with us, and work for us, to do their bit to look after the environment.
