Savings

If you are able to save money it can be very useful, as it means you can avoid taking out loans or borrowing cash from friends or family.

You never know when you might need the extra cash. What if your freezer broke down, for example? You would need to buy a new one.

Saving isn't just for the nasty things in life - careful planning might mean you can afford a holiday, or some luxuries that you might not otherwise have been able to fund.

As daft as it may sound, saving money also feels good – there is nothing as satisfying as watching the balance in your account keep on growing!

“But I can’t afford it!”

You don’t have to save much to start heading in the right direction.  For example, saving 68p a day for two years would amount to £500.

Try emptying  loose change from your pocket every day, and you'll be surprised at how quickly it adds up.
