The site was originally an open piece of land owned by Bolton Council, situated in a prime location, providing close proximity to a range of facilities and overlooking a large open recreational field. The scheme was designed using a mixed pallet of sustainable materials that were sensitive to the surrounding area to create a high quality design that compliments the neighbourhood. The scheme was one of the first to trial Great Places’ standard house types which have proved a great success with residents.
A good working relationship developed on site, and Seddon worked closely with our Clerk of Works and Housing Services team to ensure the properties were delivered to our expectations. To date there has been a great amount of positive feedback on the scheme, with the layout helping to create a community feeling within the development and the design complimenting the existing homes and streets surrounding the site.
