The Great Places team

You can contact us Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, on 0300 123 2003. Press 1 for Wates Living Space to talk about repairs or improvement work for to ask about new homes being built. Press 2 for Great Places, if you have questions about housing management, including tenancy and neighbourhood issues.
 
Managers

Paul Newcombe, regional manager
Responsible for all Great Places homes in Oldham and Rochdale.
 
Ryan-James Smith, PFI manager
Responsible for the PFI neighbourhood team and ensuring the contract is delivered as required by Oldham Council.

Housing team
Amjad Khan, neighbourhood co-ordinator
Responsible for all housing management within the Crossley neighbourhood.

Sheila Bishop, neighbourhood co-ordinator
Responsible for all housing management within the Primrose Bank, Dew Way and Keswick Ave neighbourhoods.

 
Mary Lofthouse, neighbourhood officer
Helping the neighbourhood co-ordinators with the management of Primrose Bank and Crossley.

Tracy Richardson, neighbourhood officer
Helping the neighbourhood co-ordinators with the management of Primrose Bank and Crossley.

Abigail Andrews, Great Places apprentice

Specialist staff

Zahid Hussain, anti-social behaviour (ASB) coordinator
Responsible for investigating and managing ASB reports in Oldham and Rochdale. Great Places takes ASB very seriously and we are committed to tackling ASB and improving the quality of life for our tenants. Our aim is to create communities where people want to live and visit, and can enjoy their homes without living in fear of ASB and crime.
 
Jan Wade, community development co-ordinator
Responsible for providing opportunities for all residents to get involved with the PFI project and with Great Places. Not only can Jan help you to organise community events where you live, but she will also be capturing your views and suggestions from your feedback, so we can shape the services we provide to you.
 
Lynne Anderson, resident support officer 
Responsible for providing day to day operational support to the Crossley Community Centre and wider PFI customers.

 

Rebecca Cremin, financial support co-ordinator
It's Rebecca's job to make sure that residents are getting the most from their money, such as choosing the best deals for things like home insurance and fuel, and claiming all the benefits they are entitled to. Rebecca an also put you in touch with services such as your local credit union, which can offer affordable ways to borrow money.
 
Caretakers

Jason Horrocks, community caretaker
Providing caretaking services for Primrose Bank and Crossley neighbourhoods including low-rise flats.
 
Ray Heyes, community caretaker
Provides caretaking services and site management for Stockfield Mount and Lansdowne Court.
 
Denis Brennan, community caretaker
Providing mobile caretaking services for Primrose Bank and Crossley neighbourhoods including low rise flats.

 
Managers

Steve Jackson, regional managing director
Steve, who joined Wates as a surveyor, leads his team to one goal - to complete projects safely, on time and on budget. He encourages others to succeed and be passionate about their work.​
 
Tim Wood, regional commercial director
Tim has been leading the Wates team on the PFI and will oversee the whole project.
 
Liaison and customer care
Liz Drury, customer liaison manager
Liz will manage the resident liaison officers and ensure residents are kept up to date with everything that will affect them.
 
Martin Turner, resident liaison officer
Martin will work with residents. He has seven years' experience and will act as a first point of contact.
 
Sharon Monaghan, resident liaison officer
It's Sharon's job to make sure residents get to know about all the improvements happening. She will support people through the process.
 
John Alcock, customer care manager
John has a long history of working with residents - he is dedicated to customer care!
 
Delivery team
 
Tony Grundy, maintenance team leader
Tony will manage the call centre team and make sure resident enquiries are dealt with
 
Lorraine Fox, customer call centre team leader
Lorraine will make sure your enquiries get passed to the right people. 
Phil Ibbotson, repairs supervisor inspector
