Green and Clean Wardens

Green Wardens
Our Green Wardens tell us whether our grounds maintenance contractors are doing a good job: cutting the grass and the hedges, and looking after Great Places’ outside areas around your home.

Are you interested in becoming a Green Warden?
We ask Green Wardens to have a look out of their window or to tell us what they can see when they’re out and about.  There are no other duties or inspections to do.  Green Wardens fill in a monthly form to tell us whether the contractor did a good job when they:

  • Cut and edged the lawn
  • Removed any weeds
  • Cut any shrubs and bushes
  • Picked up any litter etc.

Clean Wardens
Our Clean Wardens tell us whether our cleaning contractors are doing a good job; cleaning the shared areas in Great Places’ blocks of flats.

Are you interested in becoming a Clean Warden?
Clean Wardens live in blocks where they share an entrance way and/or other communal areas with their neighbours.  We ask Clean Wardens to tell us what they think of the standard of the cleaning in communal corridors and stairwells when they are out and about.  There are no other duties or inspections to do.  Clean Wardens fill in a monthly form to tell us how clean and tidy their shared areas are:

  • Communal corridors
  • Communal staircases
  • Handrails and window ledges
  • Windows and doors
