Extra Care with Great Places
Great Places has two Extra Care housing developments in Blackpool and one in north Manchester.
The idea of Extra Care is to provide a futuristic alternative to sheltered housing and residential care for older people. Our developments are designed for over 55s who have care needs now or who might need care in the future.
Tenants have their own self-contained, modern apartments but can call on a 24-hour on site care team for as support if they need it.
The developments also have communal lounges and services such as hairdressing, beauty therapy and chiropody. The Blackpool schemes have a sauna and spa suite.
All developments have a scheme manager as well as a care team who can support tenants 24 hours a day, seven days week, if needed. The care team also provides bespoke care for tenants who have been assessed as needing extra support by social services.
Sevacare provides the care teams in Blackpool. Direct Health provides the care team in Manchester.
